The Killer is Within (cont.3)

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

The posterior pituitary gland can exist in all degrees of subfunction from mild to severe. However mild subfunction can be bad enough. Some cases only require 1/800 of a grain of whole pituitary or posterior pituitary to attain health. I have seen mild subfunction cause fertility problems, depression, anxiety, allergies, blood sugar problems, bone loss problems including periodontal disease and those requiring knee and hip replacements, blood pressure problems and other undocumented miseries.

If you construct a graph of your glandular pattern you can tell roughly by the amount of divergence from the norm approximately how much you will need. The graph determination of the pituitary and thyroid is about 95% accurate. I rely on blood tests for the final determination. I find that those who live in and have been raised in foreign countries generally require less amount of supplementation than those that have been raised in the U.S..

The Posterior Pituitary
This endocrine gland secretes two hormones oxytocin and vasopressin. It can be under active over active or normal. You definitely want it to be normal. Your gene inheritance determines what it will be but dietary factors can definitely make it worse. Opposites attract and it works this way with the glands. Usually an over active anterior pituitary type will be attracted to a hypo anterior pituitary type. However, I find that often two hypo post pits can be attracted so the offspring could get a double dose of posterior pituitary deficiency so his or her problems can be twice as bad as any of the parents. It’s no one’s fault it just happens. However, the effect should be detected, measured and treated. It usually is not. The usual method to deal with endocrine glands is with a sledgehammer with dosages that are much too large. In fact a lighter more delicate touch is required both to detect excesses or deficiencies and small micro doses are required for treatment. They will create miracles.

Dr Melvin Page DDS developed a system to assess the activity of this gland. I studied with him in1971 and learned his methods. He used anthropometrics, blood chemistries and specific gravity determinations. Anthropometrics are 95-98% accurate and give a reliable determination of what is happening with this gland. Standard blood chemistry analysis believe it or not is not accurate enough. Only slight variations in this important gland can create havoc. It’s vitally important that it is assessed accurately. When I studied with Dr. Page we spent a whole day just measuring. It was that important to him.

Posterior pituitary deficiency can be observed by certain external clues, exadurated curvature of the lower leg half-way between the ankle and knee, double hip curve or saddle bags in women, double chin, bald spot at the crown of the head if you have the baldness gene, pot belly, facial hair on the upper lip in women. These are enough clues that you can determine posterior pituitary deficiency in most individuals. Anthropometric measuring will always give you the correct results. People tell me that they have had their pituitary evaluated and it’s ok. They were evaluated incorrectly. Anthropomentrics has to be used and followed up with blood tests to know exactly what’s up.
Remember, you don’t want to have any underactive or over active glands, you want balance. We will deal with under activity first, then overctivity Each function can create its own set of problems.

The posterior pituitary gland can exist in all degrees of subfunction from mild to severe.

How You Write Can Tell A Lot

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

If you write several paragraphs in cursive the word spacing should be similar to a typewritten page. If you turn the paper such that it is vertical see if water will pass through the words. If it won’t get freely to the bottom of the page you are too tight and may be greedy. If water passes too freely you may let too many things slip through your fingers. Your hand should be straight out with the fingers together but not curled up in a position of greed. This was told to me by a famous therapist.

EXCESSIVE FACIAL HAIR

Excessive Facial Hair
Excessive facial hair in women is a sure sign of posterior pituitary deficiency. This is because the posterior pituitary gland opposes the adrenal cortex. The adrenal cortex puts out aldosterone which makes secondary sex characteristics such as facial hair. It also causes essential hypertension for which there is no known cause. Some newer blood pressure meds such a s Spiranolactone are aldosterone inhibitors. It’s simpler with no side effects to just take posterior pituitary, plus you correct other things in the process.

Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes
You first have to know how you get type 2 diabetes. Most physicians don’t know. All endocrine glands have opposing glands. Page established that the posterior pituitary gland is opposed by the adrenal cortex. ( You can take that to the bank). If the posterior pituitary gland underfunctions (and it does in 88% of women, then the adrenal cortex will over function and raise blood sugar. That is what causes type 2 diabetes..period. So how do you treat it – add posterior pituitary. Sometimes you can have a combination of glandular problems and the anterior pituitary over functions. This will raise blood sugar also. The sex hormones suppress the over active anterior pituitary and will lower blood sugar. Have we used insulin yet ?– no. Insulin is used only last and may not be needed at all. If you have type 2 diabetes paste this on the wall.

Bipolar No More

Bipolar No More
I learned about bipolar from Kay Jaimison PhD a brilliant writer and bipolar herself. Some of her books are An Unquiet Mind and Touched with Fire. I learned how to treat bipolar from Dr. Page a genius in his own right. When I studied with Dr. Page nothing was mentioned about bipolar but I noticed his second wife was a little manic. Later I learned that he invented a new supplement for his wife. It was 3p100 a dosage that we weren’t using much. Then he came out with his classic article on the Posterior Pituitary Gland which I put in my book A Magic Bullet Cure For Depression and Manic Depression.
I consider posterior pituitary a flat out cure for bipolar. It’s helped me, my family and hundreds of dental patients. There is no dulling of mental abilities, there are no side effects, and you can have modulated creativity. I’m creating all the time. It has positive side effects on high blood pressure, bone loss, type 2 diabetes, tooth decay rates, periodontal disease, panic attacks, acne, fertility problems and more.
Dietary factors can definitely weaken this gland. This is clearly indicated with lower urine specific gravity readings. These factors would be sugar, alcohol, fructose sugar in juices, caffeine. Supplementation is crucial but Page used to say, “TDIE”, the diet is everything.

Post Holiday Blues

POST HOLIDAY BLUES
Posterior pituitary deficiency will always give you the blues or worse. Sugar, even fructose or fruit sugar especially from juices, and alcohol will wipe out this gland. This causes the frequency of urination that you get when you drink alcohol because the alcohol wipes out the antidiuretic hormone that comes from the posterior pituitary gland. Last night I had two beers. I don’t usually drink. I will take extra posterior pituitary supplement for two days afterwards.
