The Thyroid Mess

The Thyroid Mess
Most thyroid supplementation today involves using synthroid which is a synthetic version and is only T3. Page never used that. He always used natural thyroid and at much smaller dosages 1/50 grain. Thyroid function tests are not that easy to work with plus modern medicine seldom considers the anterior pituitary gland in hypothyroidism which is usually underactive also. The calcium /phosphorous ratio is much more accurate when adjusting the thyroid. If the anterior pituitary is weak I always correct that first and then check thyroid hormones last. The anterior pituitary puts out TSH which is thyroid stimulating hormone. Once the anterior pituitary is corrected thyroid may not be needed at all.
In cases of over active thyroid, Page used micro amounts of insulin for about 30 or more days. The dosage would be about two units of long acting u100 insulin daily which is about two drops. Insulin opposes the thyroid and also an over active anterior pituitary gland. The results can be miraculous. I also use it for colds, cold sores, and other cases where infection is involved. It’s much easier to use these days because the insulin comes in pens, you dial up the dosage and inject. I call it painless. If you refrigerate it it lasts a year.
